The temple built inside the palace of retired emperor in 1164.Its main hall has the longest frontage with a length of 118m(390ft) inJapan.The temple enshrines 1001 statues of Kannon(Goddes of Mercy) and 28attendant deities of Kannon.During the Edo period, Samurai( sword warriors) contested arrow shooting onthe open veranda.

Fushimi Inari Taisha(Fushimi Shrine)

The shrine is the head shrine of 30,000 Inari shrines in Japan.There are thousands of Torii Gates which are painted with vermilion inside the precincts.A high light is the Senbon torii( a thousand of torii gates)
