How are you? And how is your wife? I hope you are both keeping safe and well. I am writing to say hello.
I thought of you especially now that the Tokyo Olympics is just around the corner. With the pandemic, I expect that tourism is still very low in Japan. So I am wondering how you are doing.
I can hardly believe that we have been in this very cautious situation for more than a year now. Here in Sydney, it is winter but there are some nice sunshiny days. However, we are now on a two-week lockdown, expected to end by midnight on July 9th. However, there is speculation that the lockdown will be extended because the Delta variant of the virus is very contagious and transmissible in the community.
Have you been able to get a vaccination already? My husband and I had our first jab of the Astra Zeneca vaccine at the end of April. Our second dose is scheduled for the end of this month. For this particular vaccine, there is a gap of 12 weeks between the first and the second doses

We are very safe and well.
Some of us are enthusiastic about the Tokyo Olympics but others are worrying about Pandemic.
As for me, I think we need to postpone it one more year.
I am very sorry to hear that you are now on two-week lockdown and will extend a couple of weeks more.
Fortunately, I have been already vaccinated twice!
I heard that we need to take second vaccine within 3 weeks after we took first vaccine.
Is that all right with you?
I really appreciate your thoughtful concern about me and other friends in Japan.
I think we are doing well and most of us wear masks.
